Every girl has a list of their everyday go-to beauty essentials. You love them because you don’t know what you would do with out them, but you also hate what they do to your wallet. One thing I’ve learned about beauty products is that your beauty routine should change with each season which makes sense because there are just certain makeup colors, formulas, and scents that are more appropriate in the warmer or cooler months.
My beauty philosophy for the warmer months has always focused on staying au naturale and hydrated with ease and here are the beauty products that help get me there.
Skincare
Just like I update my wardrobe for spring, I also need to tweak my skincare regimen.
Supergoop Antioxidant Infused Sunscreen Mist w/Vitamin C and SPF 50– Supergoop is my favorite sunscreen brand. I love how well it hydrates my skin while giving me excellent sun protection.
NYX Blotting Papers– I have very oily skin which comes in waves this time of the year, so it’s perfect for absorbing the oil that accumulates on my face halfway through the day.
Olay 4-in-1 Wet Cleansing Cloths– It’s refreshing on my skin and so easy to use when I’m removing makeup.
Makeup
When it comes to makeup, I like to purchase products that serve more than one purpose because it saves me money and it makes my life (and packing) a lot easier.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream– The best way to save on your beauty essentials is to invest in a BB cream. It combines skincare and makeup and you’ll get all the benefits in one simple step. Talk about a money (and time) saver!
NARS The Multiple in South Beach– This multipurpose makeup literally eliminates a makeup bag full of different items. I use this to highlight and sculpt my eyes, cheeks, and lips. It’s so flattering on my face and leaves me with a natural glow.
Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara– This is the best mascara I’ve ever bought. Yea I could buy a cheaper mascara but there are some things that can’t be replicated. It has lasted me for quite a long time so it was worth every penny!
Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Punch Drunk– Coral has always been my go-to shade for spring. This particular brand’s color looks great against my skintone and I just love the glossy finish.
Hair
The spring months bring new challenges to my hair care routine.
Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum– I use this to help combat frizziness and to deliver intense moisture and shine to my strands.
Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray– I flat iron my hair regularly so heat protection is a must! I love this product a lot because it leaves my hair incredibly soft.
Nutiva Coconut Oil– I like to give myself regular deep conditioning treatments and my all time favorite is an all natural coconut oil treatment.
I was on a mission to put together a spring essentials list for under $150 and I did just that!
The total cost of these products= $145.65
So now I leave you with my biggest tip for saving big on your spring beauty essentials- Trade some of your beauty products in for cheaper alternatives and only splurge on products that are time-saving multitaskers.
