Oppo has released the Reno8 T and Reno8 T 5G in Vietnam without making too much noise. And even though Oppo did not make much fanfare about the devices, you should definitely take a look into them. Both phones are great picks as mid-range devices. How so?
Even though the price of the devices is sitting pretty in the mid-range bracket, the specs will tell you otherwise. So, without further ado, let’s get right into talking about the Reno8 T and Reno8 T 5G in detail.
Oppo Reno8 T – The Phone That Has It All
The Oppo Reno8 T has a lot to offer. First of all, you have a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel on the front. It has an FHD+ resolution and boasts a 180Hz touch sampling rate. There is a Gorilla Glass 5 on top, and the display features a 32MP selfie camera on the left corner.
On the back, the Oppo Reno8 T comes with a 100MP primary shooter. Although Oppo did not reveal details about the sensor, it said that the native resolution of the camera would be a first in the industry. There are two other sensors on the back, which are 2MP macro cam and a depth sensor.
Moreover, you have a ring light around the main camera, which can work like a flash and a customizable notification light. And under the hood of the Oppo Reno8 T, you have an Helio G99 SoC. Yes, it is a 4G mid-range processor, but it can surely handle most of your day-to-day applications.
That said, the Oppo Reno8 T comes with a single storage and memory option. You can get it only in 8/256GB. However, it features a microSD card slot, which will help you expand the storage further.
Besides, you have a 5000mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging. There are no official details about the charging rate. However, we are guessing it would be 33W. And Oppo Reno8 T will come with ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. It also has Bluetooth 5.3 and support for all the major GNSS.

Oppo Reno8 T 5G – The One With Powerful Specs
The Oppo Reno8 T 5G launch in Vietnam is a bit confusing. Vietnam is not really expected to see a wide deployment of the networks that it supports. Nonetheless, the main thing about this device is that it has a different SoC, a faster charging rate, and a better screen.
So, what is under the hood? The Oppo Reno8 T 5G packs a Snapdragon 695, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. And on the back, it comes with a 108MP camera with AF and an f/1.7 aperture. There are two secondary sensors that seem to be the same 2MP macro and depth cameras as the 4G version.
Furthermore, this phone also appears to be using the same 32MP front camera. However, its placement is in the center top.
What about the screen? Well, the Oppo Reno8 T 5G has a 10-bit OLED display with FHD+ resolution. It features a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Other than that, the phone has a 4800mAh battery and 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. Out of the box, the phone runs ColorOS 13. However, it does not have a 3.5 mm jack, which is present in the 4G version.
Nonetheless, the Reno8 T 5G comes in Dawn Gold and Starlight Black. And you can get it for VND 9.9 million, which is roughly $430.
