Back in December, Vivo introduced the Vivo S16 series in China. As usual, the lineup brought a gorgeous design, premium mid-range specifications, and capable cameras. The Vivo S16 series will eventually make its debut in global markets, but if we take in mind Vivo’s strategy, these phones will come under the Vivo V27 series. We’ve been expecting them as the Vivo V27 series, and now we have the first evidence that says that Vivo is, in fact, sticking with this strategy. The Vivo V27 series and other vivo handsets had their monikers confirmed.
According to the new leak, Vivo is gearing up to launch a Vivo V27 4G, V27 5G, V27e 5G, and V27 Pro. Moreover, the company will soon introduce the Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y78. The leak also mentions Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, which will introduce the IQOO Z7 series soon in India.
Gizchina News of the week
The vanilla Vivo V27 packs the model number V2231, whereas the 5G model has V2246. The V27e 5G boasts model number V2237 and the Vivo V27 Pro and V2230. According to the rumors, the new Vivo V27 series phone will launch in the middle or end of February in India. Worth noting, that the company is rumored to introduce the Vivo X90 series soon in global markets. The company will likely open things with the new flagships and later will fill the portfolio with new mid-range devices.
Vivo V27 series – based on the Vivo S16 series
The Vivo S16 and S16 Pro specs are very interesting. They are powered by the Snapdragon 870 and MediaTek Dimensity 8200, respectively. Both devices have 6.78-inch AMOLED screens with 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The vanilla packs a 64 MP camera with OIS, while the latter has a 50 MP camera, also with OIS. Both devices bring 4,600 mAh batteries with 66W fast charging. The Vivo S16e has the same battery and charging. However, it comes with a lesser camera setup with one 50 MP camera and two decorative 2 MP shooters. The phone also boasts a lesser Exynos 1080 SoC. Curiously, there isn’t a Vivo S16 4G in China. So the Vivo V27 4G is open to speculation.
The brand will also introduce the Vivo Y78 5G and the Vivo Y100. The latter will be the most premium in the low-end Vivo Y-series, while the Vivo Y78 is a simpler offering. When it comes to iQOO, Vivo will launch the iQOO Z7 5G and Pro 5G. The former has model number I2207, whereas the latter has an I2213 model number. We expect more details to appear soon, the Vivo V27 series will likely get a big event, whereas the other Vivo phones can be quietly released.
