Spider lashes are a major trend for fall and will be a fun look to try. So what does the term “spider lashes” mean?
Well the name refers to eyelashes (both upper and lower lashes) worn by models in the 60s and 70s that are heavily mascara’ed. The person responsible for their presence at the fall shows is Makeup Artist Pat McGrath. The look gives added definition to reach a “cloggy” effect.
Here’s her response on this look:
“There’s loads of black mascara on the top and bottom lashes. You just keep going and going . . . and going, ” Pat said of the endless layers she applied to models’ lashes.
Check out this video of Pat McGrath showing us how to achieve the spider lashes look.
